This is an experiment, and so like most experiments may result in a success or a failure. I've never considered writing a blog before, but it seems like something I should at least try, what being the voice and face of Jingu n' all.
I turned 42 yesterday. Not the most significant of birthdays, at least not in the west. Here in Japan people call it "Shi ni" (or しに, or 死に), meaning "towards death." Charming. Apparently if I go to a shrine and pay some money I can avoid bad luck this year. I'll keep my money in my pocket and take my chances.
It was also supposed to be the Rapture, the beginning of the end of days, according to some televangelist with his own radio network. Turns out his staff all planned to show up for work the next day, which seems to undermine the urgency of such a forecast.
Oh, and I won a contest. The 2011 One Page Dungeon Contest . My entry, "Hanging in Wolverine City", won for Best Investigation. I am both proud and confused by this.
And so here I am, writing my blog. I hope there will be more post in the future and that they will be worth reading. If not, well at least I'm writing something, and that will be a personal success, at least.
